Lome based Africa’s pan-African airline, Asky Airlines has taken delivery of a Boeing 737-800Max registered ET-BAU with msn 64944.
The four year old ex-Ethiopian Airlines aircraft with a carrying capacity of 175 passengers arrived in Lome on 16 April 2024. “This acquisition marks a pivotal step in our unwavering commitment to innovation, and environmental stewardship. It represents a significant investment in fleet modernization, exemplifying our unwavering dedication to providing an exceptional travel experience while minimizing our environmental footprint” said the airline in a statement.
“Equipped with the most advanced technologies, this aircraft substantially reduce its environmental impact. Its eco-efficient design significantly lowers CO2 emissions compared to its predecessors, contributing to the fight against climate change” added the airline.

With a fleet of 14 aircraft, Asky Airlines connects 28 destinations across Africa. Niger’s capital city Naimey service was resumed on the second of March.
